About

Lucy is a philosopher specialising in Ancient Greek philosophy and ethics. She is currently writing a book on virtue epistemology in Plato, and researching ancient conceptions of masculinity and the hero.

Lucy is an associate lecturer in the School of Philosophy and Theology at the University of Notre Dame, Australia, and Anderson Postdoctoral Research Fellow at The University of Sydney.

She completed a PhD and an MPhil in philosophy at the University of Sydney. Her PhD dissertation was on philosophical courage in Plato’s Republic, and her MPhil was on courage, masculinity, and heroism in Homer’s Iliad and Odyssey.

When she is not researching, Lucy enjoys beach walking, gardening, and reading novels.
